  Portrait of the Clam as a Young Bivalve

If I were a tree I'd hide in a forest.
If I were a jewel I'd slouch in a crown.
Because I am neither with no place to hide,
I'll float with the ebb and the flow of the tide.

Golden flowers reveal
Secrets in the moonlight.
Silver reeds strain
Dragonflies by the Nile.
